Sunset in Mount Pleasant
This session will be special to me for a long time – it was my first in Charleston! The sunset in Mount Pleasant that evening was perfection, and the family was absolutely wonderful! Gorgeous colors and views like we had that evening at Alhambra Hall are just part of the reason I decided to relocate.
While apartment hunting back in June, I was able to do a session with the ‘A’ family. We had lots to chat about, and the kiddos were adorable. I really had a great time getting to know them, Cole and Caitlin had a great time playing near the water.
Alhambra Hall is going to be one of my favorite locations – with it’s view of the Ravenel Bridge, opportunity for dolphin sightings, and just enough tree cover, what’s not to love? Of course, who can resist a little wading in the water? By the end, little Miss Caitlin was ankle deep, hehe. I can’t wait for the next one!
Grandma even got in on the fun.
These moments were unplanned, and natural. Cole was so doting and caring towards his sister, you can’t fake a moment like this.
Light quality is another major key in my photography style – sunset or bust!Cole actually went to take a huge stick out of his little sisters hands before she hurt herself or fell in. What a good big brother!A little aside; people keep asking me why I up and moved to Charleston, so, in a nut shell, I simply wanted a quieter, warmer (beachier), friendly place to call home. I think this is going to be a great fit. The timing is right, I’m very excited to start fresh and even though I’ll have to do some rebuilding for my business, but it’s going to be worth it. I think my style of family and newborn photography will find its’ own niche, no problem.
